The most northern airport in Finland, situated on the edge of the Hammastunturi wilderness. Several bus departures daily from Oulu and Rovaniemi and also from Northern Norway to Saariselkä. Saariselkä provides exceptionally good opportunities for cross-country skiing. Saariselkä is a skiing center formed by two fells, Kaunispää and Iisakkipää, with a total fo 11 slopes varying from extremely easy beginners' slopes to those intended for advanced skiers.
