St. Anton Ski Resort Description
The St. Anton ski region, the biggest ski area in Austria, has more than 100 years of skiing tradition and is considered by many to be one of the best ski areas in the world for ski holidays, encompassing not only St.. Anton but also St Christoph, Lech, Zurs and Stuben; you will only scratch the surface of the Arlberg’s possibilities in a week.
The snow cover in St. Anton is exceptional. With high altitude slopes and an underlay of man-made snow on the lower pistes, a good skiing holiday is ensured through until late April.
The vast ski area of St. Anton provides variety and lots of challenges, and be warned, you’ll need as much energy for the après-ski action in St. Anton as you will for the slopes.
With over 260km of pisted runs and challenging off-piste opportunities, the Arlberg ski area has something to keep even the most advanced skiers and boarders entertained for the duration of their ski holiday. A St. Anton ski holiday however has something that many other major resorts don’t - character!

Despite becoming a Mecca for keen skiers and après-skiers, St. Anton has retained all its traditional Austrian charm, and earned iconic status as one of any skier’s ‘must ski’ top resorts in the world.
St. Anton has developed into the area’s most famous centre for ski holidays. Although large and spread-out, it has heaps of charm and character. During a St. Anton ski holiday you’ll find some of the liveliest nightlife in Austria with things warming up from mid-afternoon in the many slope side bars.
